The birding was slow! I was about to give it up when a Kingfisher made a very brief appearance – about as long as it will take you to look at these 4 pictures. That was fine because I was really only trying to experiment today with what my new camera can do with flight.
However, there were also a couple of still shots that were fun, by chance. Two Eastern Kingbirds in a tree looking very sweet together and a Great Blue Heron way back in the meadow-y part of the marsh where I least expected it. For that shot I had to go to manual focus because there were too many weeds for silly auto focus to know what to choose.
