Aside from a lot of mosquitoes, there are beautiful flowers but very few insects. Year for year, and I have photos to prove this, there are fewer and fewer insects and those that are there are much less unusual. Just a few flies, bees, dragon flies and the stray butterfly. Lots of monarchs were around and laying eggs but there are no caterpillars (of any kind) that I have seen. Starting with the pretty flowers, first presented are the 4 stages of Zinnia growth.
Thank goodness there are still some pollinators around. These bees are very busy indeed.
