For the last 2 years, I’ve been hearing about Indigo Buntings. It became an obsession of mine to spot one. People saw them in their back yards, on the trails, everywhere it seemed, except where I was! A couple of weeks ago a seasoned birder pointed one out to me and since then I have been back to their territory a couple of times and seen several more! I think they deserve a whole blog to themselves. I will lead with the obvious best shot but the others show this lovely bird in all lights and silliness.
