The first big bird to appear was, of course, a vulture. Kind of handsome in its own way.
Then I was thrilled to see a flock of Frigatebirds arrive and come in close. (Last year I only saw them high up in the heavens.) The red throat belongs to the males. Unfortunately not mating that day. Check out this amazing mating ritual.

Then a small group of Pelicans arrived. To me they always look so happy!
Finally, when we arrived at Quepos, a Capuchin sorting garbage and a little sandpiper of some sort.
