The male is more dramatic but it was fun watching her hunt.
I spotted her sitting on a wire with another bird, probably her mate who flew off when I drove past. But she stayed and preened and seemed to enjoy the last of the sunlight before the clouds rolled in. When a car drove by kicking up too much dust, she flew off only to land a little further down the wire. After another bit of preening she dove to a lower perch from which she nabbed something delicious and nutritious. She flew off with it, took a quick mid-way stop on the wire and then flew a ways and landed up high where she could eat in peace and quiet. I hope you will enjoy watching her as much as I did.
