The Saw-whet Owl weighing in around 2-3 ounces
The slightly larger (5-6 oz) screech owl in two different colors
The next in size is the more common Barred owl (1.5-2 lbs)
To me, she looks like she’s wearing a babushka!
The Great Horned Owl at 3 lbs (always cranky, they said!)
Finally, the enormous Eurasian Eagle Owl (6 lbs) not native to the USA
I loved photographing all of them, but especially this one.
Almost too big for my lens!
